What are some of the better soft plastic worms for bass fishing?
I have a few basic ones and I can’t even remember where I bought them or what make they are, I’m just looking to update some of my soft plastics and I’m looking for some good worms to buy.
Thanks for your opinions!

I strongly recommend tournament series worms. I catch 18 19 20 inch bass with them that weigh a good 5 pounds. But i think berkly and some other things like that will work just fine too. You can find tournament series worms mainly at Bass Pro Shop. Bye, good luck finding what you need

If you can still find them, California Worms (a boutique handpour locally made) is/was a very good worm. Roboworms are excellent. Most of the brands sold by Bass Pro Shops are pretty good too. Their house brand is a good value.

Just go with the brands that everyone knows about because those are the most consistent and trusted brands out there.

Zoom probably has the BIGGEST variety in plastic worms. But you wanna pick 3 base colors to focus on. Get a color good for stained or muddy water like darks. Blue,Purple,Black or Chartreuse. For clear water conditions use something like Reds,Whites,Pumpkin Seed. And one color worm that just works good and you think usually gets them to bite.
I would suggest getting Ribbon-Tail worms because there long tails provide great action and you don’t have to work them to much.
Culprit worms are great providers of ribbon-tail worms.
But also get a good selection of finesse worms in you tackle box. On hot days when those bass just aren’t biting, switch to the smaller size of a finesse worm. Zoom provides great finesse worms. Get some with Silver flakes in them for flash.
And for rigging get some 2/0 3/0 worm hooks with some slip-sinkers. Rig the worm Texas Style.
If you don’t know how to rig texas style go here
Hope this helps!

Don’t get too hung up on brand names for soft plastics. Strike King makes the 3x line which is made from something other than the typical plastisol, but for the most part worms are worms. You should purchase plastics based on color, shape and action. A lot of companies add scent to their plastics, so pick a reputable manufacturer for best results. My advice is to go to basspro.com and request a catalog. There are pages and pages to choose from. Go with the one that makes you believe that you’re going to catch fish, just don’t forget to consider the water that you typically fish.

I really like the Bass Pro Shops line of soft plastic worms. They catch fish and their durable. They make them in ALL of the best colors. Here is a link to my favorite BPS worm ~ http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_51888_100007001_100000000_100007000?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT
Rig it up with a 1/0 or 2/0 Extra-Wide Gap hook and a 1/8 OZ bullet weight and you’re going to catch some nice fish!
I also LOVE to sight-fish for bass with Senko’s ~ http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_55085____SearchResults Even though they are costly and not durable at all. A few months back I loaded up on them at Tackle Warehouse, this particular one was going out of business. The price was $5 a pack so I bought some more white w/ flake ones.

Zoom has so many styles and colors it will make your head spin. I also like Strike King brand plastics as well. Yamamoto makes good plastics but are a bit pricey. My favorite worm is the Zoom Trick Worm. I also like Berkley Power Worms as well. Yea check Bass pro for a selection of good plastics but if you live near the west coast I would check out Tacklewarehouse.com they sell many styles and colors of tackle that Basspro doesn’t touch.
