First of all, I would like to tell you how I do things when it comes to catching trout. I will be honest, in Georgia; the most trout that I have ever caught on a single fishing trip was about seventy trout. I have taught others my techniques and they are having a lot of success too. The hysterical part of my success is that it is not that involved. I use one lure, I know where the fish are, and I usually get into the river with a pair of waders and a float tube. The best way to become a better trout fisherman or fisherwoman is to simply get out there and try different things. You will eventually develop your own technique and style and catch more trout. I will tell you that I use ultra light tackle to catch trout. This is six pound line, sometimes four, and a light rod and reel. The lighter the trout fishing tackle the better. This will give better feel and control over your bait. The reason that you want to do this is because the more feel you have, the more lifelike the lure will be. The best trout fishing lure out there, in my opinion is the little cleo. This is simply a small spoon folks and it works great.
